This Blood Bowl team was the first metal team owned by my master. He had played before with Orcs (the plastic team that came with the game), Skavens (using Advanced HeroQuest figures as proxys) and Undead (also using figures from his Undead army as proxys)… As you can see, he played with three different teams, each of them with a different style (Hit, Run, Keep). Finally, he sold his Orc plastic team (I could say those figures have been the only ones sold by him, around 1996) and instead of buying any of the teams already used, he bought this High Elf team. Why? Even they used another game style (Pass)…
Well, I don’t have a proper answer… 20 years have passed and my memory is everything but good… Maybe he was not satisfied with any of the Blood Bowl team used until that moment, maybe he wanted to test another team, maybe he wanted to prove that this team was worthy (sorry Ivan, I don’t remember any wining from you elves), maybe he wanted to paint elves…
Anyway, there is only one thing to add. Although he is in some pictures, even as he is leading the team, he has never been used in a Blood Bowl match. I’m obviously talking about Prince Moranion.
We could say he was too proud to take part of any of the matches played by the team, but I know the truth, and the truth is… he wasn’t needed… but don’t tell him!
